THE WORKSHOP
Atelier Labossa: the birth of a cowhide tote bag
1. The selection of hides — the eye of the leatherworker
It all begins with meticulous research. We select carefully chosen cowhides for the beauty of their coats and the sheen of their hair. We take great pride in showcasing the aesthetic appeal of breeds emblematic of our region: Normande, Holstein, Montbéliarde, Gasconne, Brown Swiss, and Saïtana. Each hide is chosen for its unique character, its luster, and the harmony of its patterns.

2. The cutting — revealing the uniqueness of the coat
In the workshop, we cut the hides in a way that enhances their natural nuances. Rather than imposing a pattern, we let the coat's pattern guide our work. Each tote bag thus becomes a unique piece, reflecting the animal's natural beauty.

3. The assembly — the marriage of leathers
We combine our carefully selected hides with exceptional Italian leather, Primavera. Used for the straps and the base of the bag, it provides both strength and elegance. After gluing, the pieces are assembled and stitched on our Adler machine, guaranteeing robustness and precision.

4. The signature — certified uniqueness
Each tote bag bears our seal: a logo engraved on Primavera leather and a patch certifying its uniqueness, created using our XTool digital engraver. No two bags are alike: each one carries its own identity, like a fingerprint.

5. The finishing touches — the art of detail
Riveting, snap fastening, meticulous cleaning of the fur and leather… each bag is checked and refined down to the smallest detail. The tote then becomes a travel companion, designed to stand the test of time with elegance and character.

👉 In our Roubaix workshop, each cowhide tote bag is a meeting of a living material, artisanal know-how, and a strong identity. More than a bag, it's an exceptional piece that tells a story.
